So the “headlines” are blazing with the news of the latest discovery, they’ve found the tomb of Jesus. The only problem is they found bones in the tomb! Why is that a problem? Because Jesus was placed inside a tomb, the borrowed tomb of Joseph of Arimathaea, but 3 days later he arose! Appearently these archeologist don’t know how to read, or they are doing alot of guessing on this one. Now I know those scientist would love to get a hold of this and call us “fanatic” and “fundamentalist” who believe the Bible literally. Too bad they don’t believe it, because it could change their lives forever.
Bottom line, I’m glad they are interested in looking for, and discovering Jesus’ tomb but they’ll never find any bones unless men placed some other bodies in the tomb later after Jesus’ resurrection. I want to wish those guys good luck they’ll need it when doing their DNA test. I don’t know how they plan to get God to come and give them their profile?
The truth is that Jesus is alive and well. But keep looking you guys, and hopefully you’ll learn the truth that we know and that is the one you are looking for is not in any tomb. You won’t have any DNA to match His. To the believer, take the opportunity to tell people who are hearing this story about Jesus what they need to know to learn the truth. This news release will stir a whole lot of interest world wide so be ready to help people find the truth and the answers they are seeking! I am glad this news is surfacing so let’s not miss this opportunity it’s a big one!
Blessings,

Have you read John 10:10 lately? I encourage you to take a close look at what Jesus taught in this verse, it’s incredible and encouraging. Jesus carefully identified the cause of human exposure to loss and destruction. He said, “the thief comes only to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:” which gives us the truth about what’s behind loss and destruction. But Jesus went on to say, “but I am come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly.” The obvious comparison makes it very clear as to who is “taking” and who is “giving.” The thief, which is the devil, is stealing, killing, and destroying right? And Jesus is giving life! And that life is availible in “abundance” meaning “to the fullest measure.”
Don’t confuse “dying” with “killing.” The Bible says, “it’s appointed unto man once to die…” meaning man living out the fullness of his life. But “killing” is a little different even though the result is the same. Killing indicates that life wasn’t over, or is unfulfilled. It is one thing to see someone die after they have lived for 80-90 years, versus someone being killed when they are young! In fact did you notice who Jesus raised from the dead? It was young men and women who had not lived out their lives on the earth! Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life and have it to the fullest measure!” He didn’t promise that “they,” His covenant people, would never die – but that they would have availible to them life more abundantly!
There are a few things that you need to know about so you can decide if you want to live that abundant life Jesus taught about. I will give you three things that are implied in John 10:10; These are 3 things that God has already provided for us:
- Jesus said, “I am come…” In making reference to himself, we have to realize “who” He is. He is the “anointed one” who is availible to us. In other words, the anointing has been made availible to us so that we can life the abundant life. Without the anointing we don’t stand much of a chance at it. The anointing is how God meets us at our point of need, so if something is being stolen, or killed, or destroyed, then by the anointing God will restore it!
- The next key word is “Life” which represents “eternal life.” Eternal life is not life after this earthly life is finished, but Life that has been given to us when we accept Christ into our life! Eternal life is “redemptive, restorative, and refreshing” to the believer. Jesus referred to himself as “the way, the truth, and the life.” Everything he did in His ministry was to provide eternal life! Don’t forget Hebrews 13:8 teaches us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever! So what He did then He does now through the Holy Ghost!!!
- Lastly, is the word “abundantly.” We understand that to mean, “to the fullest measure,” but let’s look a little closer. Most Christian’s think that our “new life” in Christ is just about going to church, and going to heaven one day. They confine the eternal new life to only spiritual application but Jesus said “more abundantly!” That simply means spirit, soul, body , financially, etc… literally every area of your life!
I encourage you to begin to develope the “abundant life expectation” today. God has provided it through Christ, and it is availible to all. But one closing thought for today, notice Jesus put a condition on it. He said, “that they MIGHT have life, and they MIGHT have it more abundantly.” That saying they “might or might not.” Who determines whether or not they get it? YOU do! Why do I say that? Because without faith it is impossible to please God as Hebrews 11:6 states. So God is waiting on your faith to manifest this Abundant Life through you.
Keep on Seeking Him,

It’s always fun to travel to new places. Jodi and I just got back from a trip to Southern California and it was a great road trip to say the least. Why? Because we met some new friends and spent time with our long time friends! We met with about 12 pastors and their wives and the fellowship was great. One of our desires in ministry is to connect with ministries who have similar vision for the Kingdom of God in America. God is opening up opportunities for us to do just that, and we are learning, and growing as we sit with these great pastors and we are able to share vision with each other. We’re going to invite these men to come share the gospel with us at the Rock Church. You’ll be seeing Mel Aiers, Steve DeYoung, Diego Mesa, Dwight Thompson, and of course Harry and Cheryl Salem real soon. These are men and women of integrity and a heart to reach the world with the good news of Jesus Christ so get ready it’s going to be great! I’ll see you soon.
Blessings,

Here is one nugget that will change your life, and turn your battles into victories for sure! We did our Faith Conference centered around this powerful truth and it seemed to help a lot of people including our youth. It was really cool to have our young people participate in the conference and by the way they came out every night! Anyway, here is the nugget from the apostle John in one of his last letters to the church that says, “whatever is born of God conquers the world, and this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith.” (1John5:4) Victory can be one word, or scripture, away.
Faith is the victory! We live in a world that is full of challenges, changes, unexpected circumstances. Stress levels seem to run high these days but even with all that is going on in the world around us, this word in John will bring a confidence to all of us – faith is the victory that overcomes the world. So what I need is faith, and that faith must come from one source which is God. How does God give us faith? Faith comes by His Word. Faith is believing “before” seeing, not without seeing. The eye of faith can see God’s Word as the answer. If you are faced with a challenge today open the Bible and find out what God says about it, then believe it and expect the Victory to come! If something unexpected comes your way you need to know this, get God’s Word in your heart and “expect it to come full term!” FAITH IS THE VICTORY!
Have a victorious day!
