The message Sunday was for me if nobody else got it! Learning what Jesus was referring to when He talked about the “soils” in the parable of the sower. Indentifying the “stones” as 1- unforgiveness, 2- rejection, 3- envy, and 4- prejudice, (to name a few). These stones can remain “covered up” by our lack of understanding, or underestimating the influence they can have on our lives! Jesus said that the stoney ground will keep the potential of the seed from reaching it’s full maturity!
To overcome these “heart” [soil] issues, I realize that I must forgive – release from any debt or offence against me, Jesus taught in the Lord’s Prayer, “forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” They don’t even “owe” me an appology! I just release and pray for anyone who has wronged me for whatever reason. Then realize that God has not, nor will ever reject me so I don’t have to have that “I’ll get them first” mentality which is rejection trying to compensate and protect itself from more rejection. I overcome envy by realizing that God gives everyone “equal” opportunity to have His blessings, so I don’t have to despise anyone for what they have! And lastly, prejudice is just simply to “pre” – “judge” someone or something. I protect my heart by not allowing preconceived ideas or perceptions about anyone reguardless of race, religion, politics or any other area concerning people and their choices.
Have a great day!

Wow! Sunday morning on August 19, we had the ministry of Yvonne Capehart at The Rock Church. The message was dynamic, and our church showed up ready to get into the Presence of God and they did! We had one service that morning and it was an atmosphere of excitement and expectation that ushered in the anointing in a big way! I want to say that, “The Rock Church is awesome!” Jodi and I are on the edge of our seat in anticipation of what God is preparing us for as a church – you don’t want to miss it.
Hope to see you on Sunday!

Things are going great and moving forward with a lot of excitement. Zachary Christian School is growing, and growing, and growing! We have a new principal this year, Sherri Granier, who has caught the vision and is running full speed! The school has almost doubled in size this year from last year and the students are enjoying the fresh look and atmosphere of ZCA.
We also have our Day Care opening in September which is under the leadership of Mary Brunson. The Day Care is top notch and Mary has assembled a great team of individuals who are awesome at their contributions to the program. Things are really coming together and God is blessing the work of our hands!
Moving forward, and advancing the Kingdom!
