A Fully Developed Life
Do you remember those €śold€ť cameras that you put film in? The shutter would open and an image would be impressed onto the film. Then to bring out the €śpicture€ť you had to have the film developed so everyone could enjoy the picture. The development required a process by a skilled craftsman. That brings us to my subject of John 10:10 when Jesus taught, €ś€¦I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.€ť The word €ślife€ť is from the Greek word €śZo«€ť which describes the life of God that He develops in the person who is yielded to Him by accepting Christ and going through the process!
The process is simple and we€™ll use the acronym €śL-I-F-E€ť again. First we would begin with 2 Timothy 2:15 and the key is to €śLEARN€ť what the word says about every area of our lives. We would do this by €śrightly dividing€ť the word. The Word of God gives us wisdom for all areas such as our physical, mental, emotional, and financial lives as well as our marriage, child rearing, and everything in between. Then we would €śIMPROVE€ť our lives by €śapplying€ť what the scripture teaches us concerning the areas to be developed. Next, we would €śFOLLOW€ť the principles we learned until we were €śfully developed€ť and the image is clearly seen by all. And finally we would enjoy this new way of life and it would best be described as €śELEVATED€ť because it is a higher life. Higher in quality, and higher in quantity!
A fully developed life is not out of reach to those who will apply this simple process. Jesus has come to give us the example of a €śZo«€ť God-Kind of life, and that life more abundantly! That€™s exciting and possible for all today. Don€™t allow anything to steal it from you, the Lord wants you to have it, the world needs to view it, and God will get the glory from it! Jodi and I as well as The Rock Church would love to see your €ślife fully developed.€ť Be blessed!

Wouldn€™t it be great to live life in an €śextraordinary€ť manner, and be that way all the time! Really that€™s the John 10:10 life that is available to all of us. When Jesus said, €ś…I am come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly,€ť he was offering those €śhearers€ť an opportunity of a lifetime. The words €śmore abundantly€ť describe this life in awesome detail because it means €śextraordinarily€ť and that to the fullest measure. It implies €śgoing beyond the usual limits of normal [natural] life.€ť This is a life that is extraordinary because it is joined with someone who wants to live €śthrough€ť another, and that someone is Jesus Christ! He wants to live His Life through you!
Someone may think, €śThat sounds too good to be true, nobody could live like that today.€ť But the truth is that you can. We€™ve all been exposed to the first part of that verse which describes €śthe thief€ť who comes to rob you of things you value and even to destroy you in the end. But the good news is you can see things turn around today. How? Simply by turning to the Lord and living with him each day. How can you do that, and what are the requirements? The answer to both of those questions is easy.
First, you learn to live by faith according to God€™s plan revealed by His Word. Then you meet the requirements if you can follow this simple guide using the word L-I-F-E. €śLOVE€ť God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself. Just love with a God-kind of love which is €śunconditional€ť and no hidden agenda behind it. Then you get €śINVOLVED€ť with others who need to know about that love. I find that a little compliment can get you involved with someone very easily. Next you begin to €śFELLOWSHIP€ť with people as the scripture describes in 1 John 1:2-3 giving everyone an opportunity to see what God is doing in your life, and provide an opportunity to experience this life also. Lastly, €śEVANGELIZE€ť by spreading the good news to all about this extraordinary life freely given by Jesus Christ.
Think about it for a moment. Isn€™t that the God-kind of life? He loves us without exception or condition. God loves to be involved with any and everyone. The Word teaches us how God desires to fellowship with us, and by living through us He can reach out to others who may not know how good He is. Extraordinary living is waiting on you today, and as we say all the time €śThe Best is Yet to Come€ť so don€™t miss out!
